Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed last autumn, Sis-Ter Srl SB has recently been hosted by the partner Sheger Entrepreneurs Association (SEA), for its first visit to Ethiopia. We are grateful to Mr. Alemu Zeleke, Prof. Belaineh Legesse and the whole SEA team for the hospitality and the coordination of an intense week of meetings and field surveys.
Sis-Ter had the opportunity to visit the Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC); major infrastructural projects, such as Riverside Park and the location of the future biggest hub of the continent, Bishoftu International Airport; innovation ecosystem at local start-up incubator; avocado oil production centers; circular farms with integrated production and the International Coffee Research Institute (ICoRI) at Jimma University (JU).
It has been also an occasion to visit the Ethiopian National Museum and Unity Park. Meetings and visits on field allowed to shape the guidelines of the next steps of collaboration aimed at building a sustainable and shared impact focused on 5 topics: Smart Agriculture, Manufacturing, Urban Development, Tourism and Agri-food Supply Chain.
