On the occasion of the IGU Geography of Governance Commission’s XXV Annual Conference 2025, held in Rome on September 11 and 12, entitled Innovation and Participation in Urban Governance: New Challenges for Local Governments, in addition to supporting the initiative, we were able to bring our vision and contribution to Panel 1A focused on urban planning, sustainable development and Agenda 2030.
The speech, titled Macro-territorial Strengths and Weaknesses with a data-driven approach, illustrated the importance of using local indicators and presented the “Systemic” tool that allows each municipality in Italy to understand strengths and weaknesses but also highlight in the Italian territory, how different indicators are distributed.
A heartfelt thanks to the organizers and scientific committee, as well as the chairs and discussants who led the various panels.
